Holland Lop Breed Information
Size: 3 1/2 lb. to 4 lbs. Holland lops have a lop (hanging) ear, a compact, stocky little body, thick bones, and dense fur.
Varieties: Solid or Broken, with colors in Chestnut Agouti, Chocolate Agouti, Chinchilla, Chocolate Chinchilla, Lynx, Opal, Squirrel, Black, Blue, Chocolate, Lilac, Blue Eyed White, Ruby Eyed White, Sable Point, Siamese Sable, Seal, Smoke Pearl, Tortoise, Steel, Cream, Fawn, Frosty, Orange.
Temperament: Holland Lops are sweet, laid back, lovable teddy bears, much like their giant French cousins. An excellent pet breed for families and small children, Hollands have an easy nature and will put up an hour of holding and petting and kissing.
History: Holland Lops were developed in the mid 1900's from a French Lop and a Holland Lop. They came to the US in the 1970's and are now one of the most popular breeds.
