New litters of Mini Satins and Netherland Dwarfs just arrived! Check out the breed pages for details.
George Workshop provides quality rabbits for showing, breeding, pets, and 4H projects. We sell wholesale and retail and specialize in Mini Satins, French Lops, and Netherland Dwarf rabbits. On occasion, we also have Pocket Satins, a 2 lb. version of a standard Satin rabbit. Take a look at our photo gallery (link near the bottom of this page).
New litter information is listed on each breed page. If you are looking for another breed and need assistance, contact us and we would be happy to help you. Also check out our Resources page for breeder links.
Check out our sister website at www.fallenoakranch.com for registered Fainting Goats, meat goats, fresh eggs, and naturally raised beef cattle. We also have seasonal produce.
We are the George Family: Doug, Jordana, Jeffrey and Tommy. We have raised rabbits since 2003. Our breeding program focuses on type, conformation, and temperament, and we pride ourselves on raising quality show rabbits that make wonderful pets.
We register our rabbits whenever possible, so that you know you are getting a rabbit that meets the breed standard. With Mini Satins, this is a little tricky, as Mini Satin is a new breed, but we do have several members of our breeding stock already registered and we breed to the Mini Satin standard.
Memberships
We are proud members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Texas Rabbit Breeders Association, American Satin Rabbit Breeders Association, Texas Lop Breeders club, and the Texas Satins club.
George Workshop is a registered rabbitry with the American Rabbit Breeders Association, as well.
Breeding Stock
Our Mini Satin stock has roots in just about every major breeder's barn. Ancestry goes back nearly a decade and includes lines from Collins, Shumaker, Lyons, Krahulec, Ekstrom, Cabrera, Dunn, and many more great breeders around the country. We specialize in red, copper, and broken varieties, as well as Pocket Satins.
Our French Lop stock is mostly from Lynn and Patrick Eden, with additions from our Texas Lop friends, especially Jan and Steve Wilson. Our fun, rowdy French Lops are far different than our sweet little Mini Satins, and it has been a hilarious learning experience for all of us. Our thanks to Lynn for her patient emails and encouragement. We are officially hooked on French and look forward to building our herd.
We also breed Netherland Dwarf. Our adorable Netherlands are sweet tempered and gentle, and are excellent rabbits for those needing a smaller bunny.
We have tiny Pocket Satins available on occasion, with gorgeous satin fur in several varieties (including broken), size from 1 1/2 to 2 3/4 lbs., and with the face and ears of a Satin rabbit (longer upright ears and defined face, and no dwarf-like features). Please inquire as to availability. What is a Pocket Satin? These are tiny rabbits bred down from Mini Satins. Are your Mini Satins too big and DQing on size or ears? Pocket Satin bucks are often available for stud service if you need a quick fix to get your Mini Satin herd taken down a size.
